Amidst sharing about my awesome dialogue with God- I guess I said, "so I feel kinda like Abraham, and came to Thailand...but I'm not really sure why I'm here"... yeah, probably NOT the best thing to tell your Headmaster, principal and new co-workers...
So what did bring me to Thailand? The pursuit of living a life of Reckless Faith. As much as I'd like to claim coinage of this phrase, I'm borrowing it from Beth Guckenberger, the author of the book Reckless Faith. Beth and her husband, Todd are the directors of Back2Back Ministries, a stellar orphan care organization that I had the privilege of working with in India. Her book is life changing- I mean God + orphan care- need I say more?!?
So living in Bangkok. Yeah it's been pretty splendid...not without its bumps, but God is good- and his mercy, peace, and joy are renewed every morning. The first week of skool was great- the students are awesome! I'd appreciate your continued prayers- it's a lot of work being a teacher, and the lesson planning has been a bit more challenging that I was anticipating (seriously, why else would I be at school on a SATURDAY?!?)
I've got lots of stories to tell already...but the sun is setting- literally- and I've still got quite a bit of work to do! I wanted to get this gig up and running - to help encourage me to keep it current and share in community with ya'll back home! Thank you for all your prayers- they have done miracles- including getting me the correct visa- without having to leave the country! Know that you all frequent my prayers quite often- because I know you will be blessed by mine, just as I am blessed by yours!
